Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary / St. Mary’s
Commonly known as St. Mary’s, this historic parish in Vancouver has been a cornerstone of the Ukrainian community since its early foundations in the mid-20th century. It is currently served by the Basilian Fathers (OSBM), maintaining a strong monastic influence through regular prayer and traditional liturgical services. The parish is celebrated for its active cultural life, including a renowned choir and long-standing community hall that hosts numerous ethnic events.

A member of the Basilian Order of Saint Basil the Great, Father Joseph serves as the Parish Administrator of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vancouver. He carries on the Basilian tradition of education and pastoral care, serving one of the largest and most historic parishes in the Eparchy. His ministry is centered on the monastic values of prayer, community service, and the preservation of the Byzantine rite.
